LDN Collective has joined the Healthy City Design International Congress as an event partner, helping to connect the built environment and health communities through film, dialogue and awards.

Healthy City Design is a global forum that brings together planners, designers, health professionals, investors and community leaders to explore how cities can support better health and climate resilience. Organised by SALUS Global Knowledge Exchange with the Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design at the Royal College of Art, the congress has grown into a leading space for sharing research, policy and practice on healthy and sustainable urban places.

LDN Collective is working with the organisers across several strands. Founder and chief executive Max Farrell sits on the advisory board for the congress and serves as lead judge for the Healthy City Design Awards, which recognise excellence in healthy homes, neighbourhoods, workplaces, transport, public realm and city planning. LDN Collective Media is producing a series of short films that capture the voices of speakers, partners and award winners, extending the reach of the congress beyond the room.

At recent editions in Liverpool and Salford, the LDN Collective team has contributed to plenary sessions, chaired discussions and recorded conversations with key figures including congress co founder Jeremy Myerson. The focus has been on themes such as health equity, climate investment, economic inclusion and the role of urban design in improving everyday life, from town centres and high streets to major regeneration areas.

This partnership reflects a shared belief that health must be treated as a central outcome for city development rather than a side issue. It also shows how collaboration between health and built environment specialists can lead to more joined up strategies, better projects and more confident investment in places that support long term wellbeing.
