The LDN Collective were delighted to be official supporters of Urban Design London’s inaugural Summer School 2020. Over three days, the summer school matched 80 participants with mentors then had presentations from industry experts, discussions, project work and virtual site visits. Aymara Lamche Brennan and Max Farrell were invited to give a keynote speech on the first day, called ‘The Structure of Places’. Their whistle-stop tour of the history of urban planning brings us up-to-date with city making in the 21st Century, focusing on the challenges posed by climate change, Covid 19 and the structural inequalities within our society that manifest themselves at scale in our towns and cities.
